About Thai Food in Thailand:
Salty in taste, khao yam is taken with different types of vegetables, considered special ties of the south are sataw, med riang and look niang.
Sataw is a green colored pod and when stripped reveals green berries inside, sataw berries sometimes are chopped into very thin slices and cooked with chillies & meat or simply added to any gang or it can be boiled with other vegetables in coconut milk, or taken raw with chili sauce. The berries can be preserved by pickling them and eaten without further cooking.
Despite the fact that Thailand is at least partially separated from its neighbors by water, it has never isolated itself from other countries, Malaysian & Indian dishes and spices like curries were brought in with travel & trade, and the Thais were quick to include these wonderful flavors to their own unique version of curry, today there are four main types of curries in Thai cuisine: Green, Red, Yellow, and Massaman.

located high on a hill, north of Thong Sala. This place has amazing sunset views and sometimes hosts a "warm up" party to the Full Moon a few days in advance.

one of the best place in town to have a western style breakfast. But besides this they serve an extensive menu of delicious food.
Expect western prices with that western food, but it's worth the money.
